LUL is expanding its team of qualified and experienced language assessors and examiners. We welcome professionals from all nationalities who can assess language skills across a wide range of languages. Your expertise will support learners, interpreters and language professionals in developing and demonstrating their linguistic abilities.
Role Description
As a language assessor or examiner with LUL, you will carry out structured assessments designed to measure a learner’s proficiency, accuracy and communication skills. Your assessments may include oral examinations, written tests, placement evaluations or competency reviews for interpreters and translators.
You may work online, face to face or through a hybrid arrangement. Professionals based outside the United Kingdom are welcome, provided they meet the required standards of reliability, professionalism and confidentiality.
This role requires strict commitment to confidentiality and integrity. You will be handling the performance and progression of learners and professionals, and your judgement must be fair, consistent and grounded in recognised linguistic criteria.
Requirements
Recognised qualification in education, linguistics or a related field
Previous experience in assessing or examining language proficiency
Excellent command of English for communication with LUL
Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate language accurately and impartially
Professionalism, discretion and respect for confidentiality
Confidence in working with learners from different backgrounds
